Why DeskRat?

I had a dream in which I was responsible for a room full of PCs and Macintoshes, and the PCs were driving me nuts, and I was calling them "desk rats." When I awoke the name "desk rat" just kind of stuck with me so I picked up the domain name and have been trying ever since to figure out what to do with it.

Finally decided to use it as a stash place for technical bits -- general Internet tips for friends, community and clients, and a place to post scripts that I'm ready to make available to the public.

As you can I've been too busy to put a lot of effort into this site; if you're looking for my "real" business, go to Coloma Communications.
